Nashville Bound/NYWC

So I am leaving tonight for Nashville.

My plane arrives in Nashville at about 9:00 am tomorrow.

My reason for Nashville is that I will be attending the National Youth Workers Convention put on by Youth Specialties.

For those of you who are unaware, Youth Specialties is one of the largest youth worker publishers in the world. They not only put out books to help assist youth workers, but they also have great speakers all around the world to help equip youth workers with fresh ideas, as well as philosophies and new ways to think about how to work with the youth of today.

The best part about this is that there will be hundreds of youth workers attending. So hopefully it will be complete chaos!

Some of the key speakers that I will be seeing are:

Mark Oestreicher who just wrote a great book called Youth Ministry 3.0
Francis Chan, author of Crazy Love
Duffy Robbins (who wrote countless youth ministry books)
Tony Campolo
Greg Stier
Dan Kimball, author of They like Jesus but not the Church, and The Emerging Church
Shane Claiborne, author of The Irresistible Revolution and Jesus for President
Chris Folmsbee
Les Christie
Mark Yaconelli, author of Contemplative Youth Ministry

And this is just to name a few.

I will be posting every day from the convention giving updates on sessions and the experience as a whole.

-Cheers
